Good things to ask before you hire anyone
How much does a website or custom application cost?
It depends on scope. A small-business website costs far less than a system that runs your operations. After a free consultation we send a written proposal with a fixed price for the agreed scope, so you know the total before any work begins.
How long does a project take?
Most business websites take a few weeks from kickoff to launch. Custom software ranges from several weeks for a focused tool to a few months for a larger system. Your proposal includes a timeline with clear milestones.
Can you take over a website or app someone else built?
Yes. We start with a review of the code, hosting and accounts, tell you plainly what state it's in, and then maintain, fix or rebuild it, whichever makes sense for you.
Who owns the website or software you build?
You do. The code, domain, hosting and third-party accounts are set up in your name and handed over at launch, so you're never locked in.
Do you provide hosting?
Yes. We can set up and manage reliable cloud hosting for you, or deploy to infrastructure you already have. Monitoring, backups and security updates can be covered by a monthly care plan.
Do you only work with businesses in Burnaby?
No. We're based in Burnaby and happy to meet in person around Metro Vancouver, and we work remotely with clients across Canada and beyond.
